SwimWerkx coaches are fully insured by insure4Sport under policy number I4S366914 which provides up to £2m Public Liability and £1m Professional Indemnity. Coaching is provided under conditions and best practice guidelines of the British Triathlon Federation. To swim safety you'll have to be able to swim at last 200m in a pool; be willing to sign SwimWerkx indemnity; sign in and comply with the host venue's swimming and safety conditions and confirm that you are not under medication that might affect or impair your mental and physical abilities. We'll take juniors under sixteen but only with parental attendance. The waiver can be downloaded in advance by clicking the 'Waiver OW' icon above. No waiver...no swim! This is a condition of your insurance cover and peace of mind.
Our 'home' lake is Denham, in between Rickmansworth and Uxbridge, just off the M25 and A40
We are happy to visit you at a venue of your choice so long as it is safe, has good water, and provides a spotter or kayak based safety staff
Other popular locations are Box End Lake, Bray Lake, Thorpe Lake, Heron Lake and Little Marlow Lake near High Wycombe
Alternate arrangements can be made for open air or lido based lessons for example Chesham Bucks
If we have to travel then lake entrance fee and all other venue associated fees are paid by you
We remember what the journey felt like to more comfortable, fun open water swimming and our passion is for you to find that out too!
Send us an email to say Hi or pick up the phone. We'll do our best to accomodate you. You'll need a wetsuit, swim hat, (don't worry we have plenty) a towel and goggles. Aim to arrive in good time!
Call us to discuss pricing. Individual starts at £45 for 45 minutes water time. Groups on application
To see SwimWerkx in action please click on the link below The stroke is an adapted open water stroke dissimilar to pool swimming. It allows the wetsuit to work with you and not against you and incorporates a little more body roll. You'll also notice a shorter stroke to allow for increased turnover and the power necessary for close quarter swimming and racing. Progression is relaxed and rapid
